Amit Ganorkar has been named the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata AIG General Insurance Company, with effect from January 1, 2025. This change follows the approval of the company’s board of directors, as Ganorkar steps into the role previously held by Neelesh Garg.
Upon assuming his new responsibilities, Ganorkar remarked, “I am honoured to be entrusted with this significant responsibility. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the general insurance industry, Ganorkar is well-versed in key areas such as sales and distribution, product development, marketing, operations, and technology. His wealth of expertise will guide Tata AIG through its next phase of expansion.
Previously, Ganorkar served as Managing Director at Royal Sundaram General Insurance, and earlier held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Tata AIG, further solidifying his familiarity with the company’s structure.
Under his leadership, Tata AIG is poised to enhance its market position, focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.
