Amit Mehta Assumes Top Role in upGrad as the CHRO

The Indian EdTech firm upGrad recently announced the investiture of Amit Mehta as the CHRO who will assume his duties from October 8th onwards. Amit will helm the company’s global people strategy with a special focus on organisational effectiveness, talent development and performance management initiatives along with establishing a culture of innovation and inclusion to strengthen human resources within the Mumbai-based company. 

Previously Amit was part of Hindustan Unilever’s Home Care division and growth interventions as the Talent and Organisation Director for Unilever’s South Asia Markets.

Speaking on Amit’s appointment in the brand, Ronnie Screwvala, Co-founder and Chairperson of upGrad said, “upGrad’s new decade of growth demands a bold vision for talent development. He is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur from where he secured his MBA degree In HR prior to which he completed his B.Tech from VJTI Mumbai.
