Ghanashyam Hegdekatte Moves to Mahindra Holidays & Resorts as CHRO

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. has announced the appointment of Ghanashyam Hegdekatte as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Hegdekatte brings over 16 years of HR leadership experience, including more than 14 years with the Mahindra Group, where he has held diverse roles across its business verticals. Most recently, he served as Head of Organisation Effectiveness for the Group’s Automotive and Farm sectors.

In his new role at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts, Hegdekatte will lead the company’s people strategy, focusing on talent development, organisational culture, leadership capability building, and employee experience. His appointment comes as the organisation continues to strengthen its HR architecture to support business transformation and growth in the hospitality and leisure space.

An engineer turned HR leader, Hegdekatte holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI – Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru.

His move underscores Mahindra Holidays’ focus on leveraging human capital as a key driver of sustainable growth and operational excellence across its expanding portfolio.
