Indian food delivery giant recently announced Abhishek Jha as the new CEO of its quick commerce platform Instamart who will take on his duties from September 4 onwards.
Presently serving his final days as the Senior Vice President of category and Marketplace, Jha’s wealth of experience comprises over 20 years in leading categories, operations, strategy and product development.

The current CEO of Instamart Phani Kishan who is also the Co-founder will be assuming a wider organisational role that will oversee Swiggy’s Growth unit and will be reporting to Sriharsha Majety who is currently serving as the CEO of the Swiggy Group. The latter added, “Amitesh joins us from Flipkart, where he has built an impressive track record over the past 14 years. His extensive experience includes leading core categories such as smartphones, general merchandise, fashion and large appliances, as well as managing their logistics arm.”
Amitesh holds a dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) from IIT Delhi and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, he said, “I firmly believe that the consumer internet industry in India is on the verge of transformative disruption. I am confident that Swiggy, with its innovation DNA, strong customer focus and brand trust, will lead the way in redefining customer behaviour and setting new industry standards.”
