Airlines take off with ambitious hiring plans by 2024

IndiGo, India’s biggest domestic airline, plans to hire 5,000-6,000 workers by the next fiscal year of 2024. Meanwhile, Mumbai-based Akasa Air, a brand of SNV Aviation, intends to add 1,000 employees to its workforce by 2024. Air India, owned by the Tata Group, will recruit approximately 5,100 new staff in 2023, including 4,200 cabin trainee crew and 900 pilots, having already hired 1,900 cabin crew and 285 pilots between April 2022 and now.
