Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced plans to globally recruit 1,000 individuals in 2023, a record intake marking a 55% increase from the previous year. The luxury carmaker’s expansion focuses on enhancing its digital and engineering capabilities. In the last fiscal year, JLR hired over 800 people specialising in fields such as autonomous driving, AI, electrification, cloud software, data science, and machine learning.
Additionally, they consolidated their digital and IT teams into a single ‘digital’ unit, which now comprises more than 800 professionals. Despite the global semiconductor supply shortage affecting retail sales, JLR continues its digital transformation journey, partnering with Tata Technologies to accelerate the process.
