PwC India has announced an ambitious growth blueprint under its Vision 2030, aiming to expand its workforce to 50,000 within the next five years through the creation of 20,000 new roles. The strategy is underpinned by a target to triple revenues over the same period, with over 5 per cent of annual revenues earmarked for sustained investment in technology, innovation and capability enhancement.
The consultancy said the initiative will sharpen its focus on critical business areas, including digital transformation, sustainability, risk and regulatory compliance, cloud solutions and cybersecurity, in a bid to equip clients to navigate and lead amid accelerating disruption.
“PwC views the next five years as a pivotal period for India to lead, shape, and build its future towards becoming Kal Ka Bharat. The 2030 vision is aligned with this national ambition and is a strategic roadmap to support India’s growth – and to grow with India, for India,” the firm stated.

The plan encompasses increased investment in artificial intelligence-led delivery, exploration of new market opportunities and a decentralised expansion strategy reaching Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This regional thrust, PwC said, will bolster self-reliant local economies and broaden employment prospects beyond metropolitan hubs.
“As our clients transform, so must we – and that begins with our people,” said Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson, PwC in India. “We’re focused on building a future-ready workforce by expanding access to learning, prioritising women in leadership, and creating inclusive growth journeys that allow our people to thrive – from the campus to the boardroom.”
The firm will allocate 1 per cent of annual revenues exclusively to upskilling employees and partners, while adopting fresh approaches to attracting, nurturing and developing talent.
PwC’s growth strategy is anchored in six “Go Long” sectors: financial services, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, automotive, technology, media and telecommunications. In addition, it will actively pursue opportunities in emerging “horizon sectors” to establish an early and influential market presence.
