GE Aerospace has named Shilpa Gupta as its new Chief Technology Officer for India and Site Leader of the John F Welch Technology Centre (JFWTC) in Bengaluru, the company announced on Tuesday.
In her new mandate, Shilpa will spearhead GE Aerospace’s engineering, research and digital technology teams in Bengaluru, with a focus on accelerating innovation, scaling advanced capabilities and deepening the company’s regional impact.

She joins GE Aerospace from GE Vernova, where she led gas power engineering operations in India across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Noida, and also served as the JFWTC site leader for GE Vernova.
She succeeds Alok Nanda, who has transitioned into a global role as General Manager of Services Engineering at GE Aerospace. In this capacity, Nanda will focus on enhancing customer outcomes, improving operational efficiency and positioning the business for next-generation growth.
