Tapaswee Chandele’s Rise Signals New Chapter in Coca-Cola’s People Leadership

Tapaswee Chandele has been appointed Global Chief People Officer at The Coca-Cola Company, succeeding Lisa Chang, who will step down after a seven-year tenure.

The appointment takes effect on 1 May, with Chandele reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Henrique Braun, according to an official statement.

She currently serves as Senior Vice President and Executive Assistant to President and Chief Financial Officer John Murphy, a role she has held since May 2025. Her elevation reflects more than two decades of experience within the organisation across talent strategy, leadership development and international human capital management.

From 2019 to 2025, she was Senior Vice President of Global Talent, Development and HR System Partnerships, overseeing the company’s worldwide talent management strategy. In that capacity, Chandele was a key member of Chang’s leadership team and contributed significantly to shaping Coca-Cola’s global people agenda.

Tapaswee joined Coca-Cola in 2001 in her native India and went on to hold various human resources and talent development roles across geographies. She was based in Türkiye and South Africa before relocating to the United States in 2017.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she serves on the board of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in India and is also a member of the Board of Directors at Agnes Scott College.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management.
