Srijesh Kumar Joins Practo as Global CPTO to Advance AI-Led Healthcare Vision

Practo has appointed Srijesh Kumar as its global chief product and technology officer (CPTO), signalling a decisive push to strengthen its AI-driven platform and advance its international footprint.

Srijesh joins from Salesforce, where he served as vice president overseeing product engineering for its industry cloud portfolio, alongside loyalty and promotions management. His career spans senior leadership roles at Expedia Group, Punchh, Adobe and Microsoft.

In his new role, Kumar will bring together engineering, data and product teams under a unified structure, the company said in a statement. The consolidation comes as Practo intensifies efforts to embed AI across its platform — from patient discovery and clinical decision-making to care delivery and post-treatment follow-ups.

“We’re at an inflexion point in how technology is shaping healthcare globally, with AI redefining how systems are built, scaled, and experienced,” said Shashank ND, founder and CEO of Practo. “Srijesh brings deep expertise in building platforms at a global scale with a strong product mindset.”

The company said Kumar will prioritise strengthening platform architecture, accelerating product innovation, and harnessing its healthcare datasets to deliver more measurable outcomes.

“What drew me to Practo is the opportunity to work on problems that have a real, human impact at scale,” Srijesh said. “Healthcare is one of the areas where technology can make a life-changing difference, not just in improving access but in reducing suffering and enabling better health outcomes.”

The appointment follows the recent induction of Cijo George as vice president to steer the company’s AI strategy and embed intelligent automation across its digital healthcare ecosystem. George previously served at Observe.AI.

Founded in 2008, Practo connects patients with more than 700,000 doctors across over 2,400 cities worldwide, while also providing hospital management software through its Insta platform, it said in a statement. The company operates across India, the Middle East and the United States.

The leadership reinforcement arrives at a time when healthtech firms are increasingly investing in integrated, full-stack platforms aimed at improving patient outcomes while enhancing operational efficiency for healthcare providers.
