Nitin Kalani Begins a New Chapter with Dhoot Transmission as Group CFO

Dhoot Transmission Group (“Dhoot”), a prominent manufacturer of automotive components, has announced the appointment of Nitin Kalani as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Kalani will report directly to Rahul Dhoot, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of the Group.

This appointment marks a significant milestone for Dhoot, as it is the first key leadership addition following the Group’s recent strategic growth investment from Bain Capital, a globally recognised private investment firm.

With over two decades of extensive experience spanning a spectrum of industries, Mr Kalani brings to Dhoot a distinguished track record from reputed organisations such as Greenply, Varroc Group, Credit Suisse, RPG Group, Rabobank and Tata Motors. Prior to this role, he served as the CFO at Greenply Industries Limited.

His career portfolio encompasses deep expertise in capital market transactions—including IPOs, QIPs and bonds—alongside mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international treasury operations, business finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, equity research, new market entry, and managing joint ventures and stakeholder relations.

Academically, Mr Kalani holds credentials of the highest order. He is a Chartered Accountant with an all-India merit rank, a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA, and a qualified Company Secretary.

Commenting on the appointment, Rahul Dhoot stated, “We are pleased to have Nitin join us during the current growth phase where we are seeing a transformation of our business. Nitin will be closely working with us in driving profitable and sustainable growth, improving cost efficiencies and corporate finance.”

Mr Kalani’s induction underscores Dhoot Transmission’s intent to strengthen its leadership as it embarks on a renewed chapter of expansion and operational excellence.
