In a strategic move to enhance its digital, engineering, and technology capabilities, Cyient, a leading IT and engineering services company, has appointed K.A. Prabhakaran as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of its Digital, Engineering, and Technology (DET) business.
Prabhakaran, who brings over three decades of experience in the engineering, research & development (ER&D) sector, joins Cyient after an impressive tenure at Honeywell. As President and CTO for Honeywell’s Process Solutions Group, Prabhakaran drove technology innovation and customer-centric solutions for the conglomerate’s diverse client base, further establishing his leadership in industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, life sciences, and renewable energy.
His global expertise in leading large teams to develop cutting-edge products and create sustainable growth pathways aligns with Cyient’s vision of expanding its footprint in the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Now based in Bengaluru, India, Prabhakaran is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing Cyient’s technological strategies and helping the company maintain its competitive edge in the IT and engineering services sector.
This appointment follows the recent hiring of Sukamal Banerjee as Cyient’s CEO, who took over after the resignation of former CEO Karthikeyan Natarajan. Natarajan’s resignation came after the company reported a challenging third-quarter earnings performance, making Banerjee’s leadership essential in steering the company towards growth and profitability.
