In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership team, Nasdaq-listed software-as-a-service (SaaS) giant Freshworks has appointed Srinivasan Raghavan as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO). This announcement was made on Monday, marking a significant milestone for the company as it continues to expand its vision for AI-driven customer and employee experiences.
With a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in the enterprise SaaS sector, Srinivasan is poised to lead Freshworks' product strategy and innovation. His expertise will be instrumental in advancing the company’s people-first, AI-powered service software, which is designed to enhance both customer and employee interactions. He will be an integral member of the Freshworks executive team, reporting directly to Dennis Woodside, the company’s newly appointed CEO, who assumed the role in May.

Dennis Woodside expressed his confidence in Srinivasan's appointment, stating, “Srinivasan is a key addition to our team, leading innovation that drives scalable growth across our three key priorities: employee experience, artificial intelligence, and customer experience.”
Prior to joining Freshworks, Srinivasan held the position of Chief Product Officer at RingCentral, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's product offerings. His efforts included launching cloud-based solutions for contact centres, marketing, and sales intelligence, significantly contributing to the company’s revenue growth. Additionally, he led the development of AI-driven digital engagement and automation tools, which included platforms for workflow automation, virtual agents, and assistive technologies tailored for contact centre agents.
Reflecting on his new role, Srinivasan Raghavan remarked, “Joining Freshworks at a time when AI is unlocking new possibilities for businesses to drive growth and operational efficiency is an incredible opportunity. By integrating AI and workflow automation further across the Freshworks platform, we can deliver significant value to customers and shape the future of customer experiences and employee experiences together.”
In a related development, the company recently undertook a restructuring initiative, reducing its global workforce by 13%, which impacted approximately 660 employees. This decision, part of broader efforts to streamline operations, reflects Freshworks’ commitment to maintaining its competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.
