The Tata Group has announced to employ 4000 women from Uttarakhand at its Tamil Nadu and Karnataka plants. An official confirmed the news, stating that the company’s CHRO Ranjan Bandapadhyay had addressed a letter to the state planning department. The recruitment process will commence soon.

The plants situated in Hosur (TN) and Kolar (Karnataka) under Tata Electronics will see an increased women workforce by selecting candidates through the NPS and NATS programmes. The eligibility criteria for NPS require graduating from the 10th or 12th exams, while an ITI diploma is mandatory for pursuing the NATS programme.
The mass hiring will see the women in the role of shop floor technicians. In addition to their periodic salaries, they’ll also receive amenities like accommodation, food, transportation and other facilities.
