Amber Connect, a global frontrunner in vehicle tracking and telematics solutions, and a subsidiary of the Jamaica-based Amber Group, has unveiled its plans to generate Rs 500 crore in global revenues within the next two years. Operating across more than 100 countries, Amber Group's diverse portfolio spans multiple industries, and the telematics arm is poised for significant growth, with a strong focus on India as a key market.
As part of its strategic expansion, Amber Connect will establish a state-of-the-art 4,000-seat Innovation Centre in Coimbatore, aiming to contribute Rs 100 crore to the company's revenues from the Indian market by 2027. This new facility will be a hub for cutting-edge technology development, sales, and customer support, with the company set to recruit over 1,000 professionals to fill a variety of roles.
The decision to set up in Coimbatore follows the success of Amber Connect’s existing office in the city, which currently employs approximately 1,200 professionals in areas such as product development, software engineering, logistics, and operational support. The establishment of the Innovation Centre underscores India’s growing importance in Amber Connect’s global strategy.
Amber Connect is making significant strides in India, aiming to strengthen its market position through strategic partnerships with automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors. The focus will be on integrating advanced telematics and fleet management solutions into vehicle offerings, enhancing vehicle tracking, AI-powered analytics, and bolstering security features. The company has set a target to equip 200,000 vehicles with its telematics solutions over the next two years.
“India's increased digitisation, rapid growth, and the rise in adoption of premium technology solutions make it the ideal market for Amber Connect's advanced telematics solutions. We chose Coimbatore, a tier-II city, for our expansion due to its rich engineering talent,” stated Dushyant Savadia, Founder and CEO of Amber Group.
He further remarked, “For us, India's tier-II markets are a reflection of the country's growth potential, making them the ideal choice for our Innovation Centre."
This strategic move will not only fortify Amber Connect's presence in the domestic market but also significantly enhance its revenue and market valuation, paving the way for a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the near future.
