HR Veteran Dr Abhishek Tiwary Makes a Comeback to KPMG

In a significant career move, Dr Abhishek Tiwary will rejoin KPMG as the global HR head for the KPMG Delivery Network (KDN), starting on 8 July 2024, based in New York. KDN seeks to innovate KPMG's service delivery to clients and member firms worldwide, and Tiwary's expertise is seen as a key asset.

Dr Tiwary is completing his final days as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Tech Mahindra. His extensive history with KPMG Global Services (KGS) began in 2008, where he spent over a decade climbing the ranks from the Assistant Director of HR to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) by 2016. He then transitioned to KPMG’s US office, where he held the role of executive director of HR until 2023, focusing on equity, diversity, and inclusivity initiatives.

With over 20 years of global HR leadership experience, Dr Tiwary has held notable positions at major companies such as TCS, Amdocs and Convergys. He (recently) received his doctoral degree from IIM Lucknow and holds a Master’s in personnel management from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. His diverse career also includes serving as a sub-lieutenant in the Indian Navy and working as a Correspondent for Star News before Shifting gears permanently towards HR in 2003.

Dr Tiwary's return to KPMG is expected to advance the company’s strategic goals and enhance its global HR initiatives. Although the reasons for his move remain undisclosed, his extensive background and leadership skills are anticipated to significantly contribute to KPMG's growth and transformation efforts.
