Pradeep Parameswaran has been elevated to the position of Global Head of Mobility at Uber. He replaces Andrew Macdonald, now COO. Previously served as the head of Uber's India and Asia Pacific operations, this is Parameswaran's second promotion in a year.
In his new capacity, Parameswaran will oversee Uber's mobility business worldwide, reporting directly to CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. This promotion is part of a broader organisational restructuring aimed at aligning the company's leadership with its long-term objectives.
In his LinkedIn post, the leader pens his excitement and thrill over the new job update.
"I’m incredibly excited to lead our global Mobility business, overseeing strategy and operations to bring innovative and reliable transportation to millions of people in over 70 countries worldwide. From ridesharing to new modalities, we're committed to building the future of how our cities move – making it more accessible, sustainable, and efficient for everyone," writes Pradeep.

Parameswaran's elevation follows his previous role as Global Head of Business Development, where he led strategic partnerships and initiatives to expand Uber's reach. Uber's India and South Asia operations will continue to be led by Prabhjeet Singh.
