
Religare Broking on Monday announced the appointment of Vijay Kumar Goel as its Managing Director, signalling a renewed strategic thrust towards scaling its core broking operations and broadening its wealth product distribution capabilities.
Vijay joins the brokerage after a period of independent practice as an Executive Coach and Business Growth Consultant, during which he mentored senior leaders and advised financial services institutions on growth strategy and organisational transformation.
In his new mandate, Vijay will spearhead Religare Broking’s growth agenda, deepen client engagement frameworks, and further strengthen the firm’s digital infrastructure and research competencies, the company said in an official statement.

A seasoned professional with more than three decades of experience in banking and financial services, Goel brings with him wide-ranging expertise spanning broking, retail NBFC operations, asset management, investment and insurance distribution, private wealth management, and affordable housing finance.
Over the course of his career, he spent more than 14 years at the Motilal Oswal Group, where he held leadership positions including Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer across its broking and distribution, private wealth management, and home finance verticals at various stages of their evolution.
Earlier, Vijay devoted 11 years to the Aditya Birla Group, working across multiple financial services businesses after commencing his professional journey with the conglomerate in 1994.
Indranil Choudhury, Group CHRO, Religare Enterprises, remarked that Goel's "appointment will be instrumental in advancing the company's next phase of growth".
